Really a superb game in almost every way. I know that a lot of people are saying it's too difficult, but I'm proud to say I beat on the third try. On that note though I would say that the level of difficulty is appropriate to the game, but the lack of a continue or save feature just makes it feel like you're trying to punish the player. The weapons and ship upgrades were very nice, though I think the rockets and missiles could have used a little work. I don't know why you had the rocket icon show two rockets at once when you could only fire one at a time, but that's not that important.
The only other thing I would bring up is that in the last few levels it seemed like the enemies were able to seriously confuse the tracking missiles. There would be several large enemies on the screen at once, but when you fire a missile, a small little bird would dart in and take the hit, which is a real waste of a shot.
Overall I think you have a good formula, and more levels would be nice, but only with a save feature.
Also, you could consider more varied powerups, such as shields and the like.

It's sad to put this in a review, but this is almost an exact copy of games that have been done many times before. In terms of gameplay, it's good, but nothing new or original. I would almost go so far as to say that it was stolen, but I know that's not the case. It's just unimaginative.
I mean really, you didn't even use new graphics for most of the items or enemies. This is exactly like that chopper game but with a mech instead of a chopper.

I'm giving you a five out of ten but not because this is only a demo. The game was laggy, the little guys are annoying, and the physics that was used to pick them up sucked.

Overall just a point and click on the shiny button, except the button doesn't do much. Not bad for a quick time waster, but nothing special.

This is nothing but a demo, and a bad one at that. It has no substance and offers nothing to the player.

Suffers from a few code errors though. The worst of which was in level 7. There is a part where you have to navigate through platforms that are going up and down, that are spiked on the bottom and can push you up into spikes above. It wouldn't be that difficult, but if you walk on one of the moving platforms, and it goes below the one that isn't moving, you tend to follow the moving one for a bit, which kills you. So I guess you need to work on collision boxes.
Other than that, I liked the way the shield didn't cover his whole body and you had to move it.
I think the bosses could have used some work. The difficulty seemed about right, but they were a little bit repetitive. Once you figure out the pattern, it feels like work.
Also, you should have been able to use the shield on the fireball boss.
Oh, and the combination bosses were a nice touch.

Zilch.
And it was very slow on my computer. I wouldn't grade you down for this normally, but since games of similar style and more complexity don't run slowly, I'm given to assume that your code was very inefficient.
